Team Read is committed to continuing to support students’ reading success all year round and helping prevent summer learning loss. We are getting ready to BLAST OFF this summer with a space-themed program happening in partnership with the local Seattle Public Library. We will be at Rainier Beach, Douglass-Truth, and NewHolly in July, providing one-on-one tutoring, literacy games, and fun. We will also be launching our first summer program at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary.
Team Read is excited for all the opportunities that will be available to our teen coaches this summer. On top of working at the library sites there will also be over 70 positions to fill as classroom assistants in the Seattle Public Schools Summer Staircase program. The impact they will be able to have in younger students’ lives is huge.
We are looking forward to a summer full of learning, fun, and sun!
