Our volunteers encourage and inspire us
Community members regularly step forward to support Team Read’s work by donating their time to prepare program supplies/materials, assisting with coach training, serving on board committees, and more. If you are excited by our mission and want to volunteer, please reach out to Mumina Ali at mumina@teamread.org
Team Read employs local teen coaches to tutor our student readers, and so we do not offer volunteer opportunities for adults to tutor or read aloud during the program.

Team Read’s annual Benefit Event supports hundreds of 2nd – 4th grade readers who are achieving increased literacy skills with the help of their teen reading coaches.

Join the Alumni Network
No one knows better than our tutors what an impact Team Read has for both kids and teens. Each year, hundreds of Team Read reading coaches graduate high school and head off to college or begin successful careers. In 2016, we established an Alumni Network to provide special opportunities for former reading coaches, including networking events, professional advice and coach, volunteer opportunities, and job listings.
