Team Read Literacy Day 2025 was a success! On Sunday, June 15th, Team Read and the Beacon Hill Library hosted over 100 friends and family to celebrate the start of summer. Readers, coaches, parents and Team Read community members joined us to learn about reading programs and activities being offered all summer long! Our friends at Page Ahead and Read-a-Rama also joined us to share their incredible literacy work.
The afternoon featured two magic shows by renowned comedy hypnotist and master magician, Maritess Zurbano. Maritess was electrifying! It was a one-of-a-kind performance. Every reader went home with a goodie bag filled to the brim with activities, games and toys, resources, and free books. Thank you to the Beacon Hill Library, Teen Services Librarian Aaliyah Davis, Page Ahead, and Read-a-Rama for your wonderful collaboration. Endless gratitude to Team Read Staff and Ambassadors for making this possible at all. And of course, to our Team Read community, thank you for showing out and making the afternoon so special!
