Team Read is currently accepting applications for the Summer Reading Program Coordinator position. This is a 20 hour a week, paid, hourly, year-round position.
Team Read is a non-profit organization that partners with school districts and library systems to provide an innovative after-school and summer reading tutoring program that pairs older students as reading coaches (tutors, role models and mentors) with 2nd-3rd grade students for one-to-one tutoring. Program evaluation results demonstrate that the elementary students become better readers, and benefit from their relationships with positive role models and mentors. The teen reading coaches gain meaningful work and community service experience.
Team Read’s summer program has been growing and evolving since 2012. We anticipate that with this hire we will see the substantial growth of the program’s planning, organization, curriculum and impact.
