Team Read’s 2019 summer program was our largest yet! With 7 sites in Seattle and Highline, Team Read provided valuable summer jobs for 118 teens and one-on-one reading support for 319 young students. We also welcomed back several former reading coaches who returned to Team Read in site support roles, including Kenji Kurose, Ibi Idowu, and Markia Brinson.
At the end of the program, we asked student readers and coaches to reflect on their experience. Here’s what they said:
